When my daughters were little, we started a trend. In our pantry, we had a sweet bin and a salty bin for snacks. When preparing lunches, the girls always got a main dish (sandwich, soup, salad, pasta), a fruit, a veggie, then a sweet snack and a salty snack. It’s a memory that they still talk about today. I guess that was my version of a well-balanced meal. 🤣 Balance Something that I’ve been striving for my whole life. Over the years, I’ve realized that my life, just like many, is both sweet and salty. Good times and bad. Therefore, my thoughts and my words are balanced that way as well. This is a collection of my Sweet and Salty thoughts. My unbalanced life! I hope you can find something to relate to through the sweetness of laughter or the saltiness of tears. Enjoy!
I started writing because I was afraid of how easily thoughts would disappear. Not the important—but the small ones. How light shifts when I leave a room. The sound of a page turning in the night.
Small observations. They don’t ask to be understood. Only to be recorded and maybe read, slowly.
